From Screen to Festival Ground: Culture Moves Through the Whole Ecosystem

Film preserves a performance, carries a story across borders, and opens discussion. A living festival adds bodies, food, craft, rhythm, children, exchange, and relationships that cannot be contained by a screen. The Abibitumi ecosystem needs both.

After the Abibitumi Abibifahodie Film Festival in October, the Abibifahodie Festival joins the Abibitumi Conference on December 12–13, 2026, at Abibitumi Headquarters in Akuapem Mampong. The December theme is Construction of Black Civilization.

Filmmakers and audiences should see the festival ground as part of the same cultural infrastructure. Stories can lead viewers toward artists, vendors, educators, organizers, and families whose lived practice gives images context and consequence.
