The AAFF Audience Pledge: Watch, Question, Connect, Build

The Abibitumi Abibifahodie Film Festival begins October 16 in Accra. As opening day approaches, the audience can prepare with four commitments.

Watch beyond entertainment. Question who controls the image and its circulation. Connect with a filmmaker, student, elder, or organizer whose work should continue after the festival. Build one concrete next step—a study circle, screening, interview, archive, collaboration, or production.

A strong festival audience does not disappear when the lights return. It carries films into new conversations, creates relationships between people who need one another, and strengthens the cultural institutions that make future work possible.
